It has been a while. I just had this idea in my mind that popped up from nowhere. I'm gonna start this ArseTalk thing that just talks about Arsenal in general-which means no talk about any football reviews and such. Okay, the name ArseTalk may have been inspired by another blog named Arseblog.com. If you haven't checked that out I suggest you do because it's one of the most comprehensive blogs I find out there! Leave me a comment if you find cool blogs too!
So, anyway, to start the very first ArseTalk, let's talk about the publicity Arsenal receives. You know what? I feel Arsenal are one of the clubs that is heavily scrutinised by the public and reporters. Don't ask me why I say so but look at the outcry when we lose a game. I really think it is overboard at times. When you look at other teams lose, the loss is quickly swept aside. But whenever Arsenal loses, calls will be made to sack Wenger and many people start jumping on the bandwagon and pelting criticisms after criticisms at Arsenal.
Which is why, I admire Wenger for his cool-headed (well, seemingly) approach to detractors. Really have to applaud him. His belief is so strong that despite criticisms, he sticks to his mindset where most people will start questioning themselves and crumble. Don't get me wrong now, I'm all for change when the time calls for it and I admit Wenger is stubborn many times but just wanted to say this character trait of his is really admirable. Perhaps, many people just want to get a piece out of him since he is one of the most established and long-serving coach in English football history. People tend to want to shoot figures at the top sometimes. Just look at the fans who verbally abused Wenger after the loss to Stoke and I wonder, we could do away with these kind of fans who just destroy Arsenal fans' image.
Alright enough of Wenger. I find it heartwarming to say Arsenal has been involved in the community through the Arsenal Foundation. It is through giving back to the local community that is great for the club and the players. Gives the players reason and motivation to play better, knowing that the people whose lives they have touched are rooting for the team when they play matches. Using the Arsenal name to bring joy to others! Just great.
Looking forward at the games coming up, Liverpool would be on Sunday. And I have to say, our midfield looks thin at the moment. Flamini is available but the likes of Wilshere, Ramsey are out. I hope the Ox recovers in time for the game because he plays well centrally and gives bite to our midfield. Although Cazorla could play there too although it'll mean Cazorla will not be able to play in an advanced central role which he usually does. Let's hope we get the team dynamic flowing that day and have a great game at Anfield on Sunday.
Let's cap it off with this awesome Giroud pic! COYG!
